About Me

I am a cultural historian. My doctoral dissertation “‘They’re Following Our Script’: 70 Years of Disney & Outer Space” is a history of the Walt Disney Company’s role promoting outer space to the American public, from Man in Space (1955) to Elio (2025). Through exploring the Disney Company’s projects and notable collaborations, whether Nazi rocket scientists or NASA, I show the company’s deep entanglements with the military-industrial complex and how Disney has shaped American science and space policy as well as public reception for almost a century.

My research sits at the intersection of cultural history, media studies and the history of science. I am a PhD Candidate in Children's Literature at the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge. In addition to my academic work, I am freelance writer for public history, educational and outreach projects.
